(More) Garden Bounty & Food Processing
Lots of food to preserve this summer. We harvested over 30 cucumbers and Michelle is turning them into pickles! Yum! And a box of peaches (for sauces, pies, and jams) and a box of tomatoes (for Marinara) too.
Montana!
A trip with the best intentions to get to Hilgard Basin... alas, it was nt meant to be for a variety of reasons. So we spend most of our time at S. Willow Creek, outside of Pony. It was a nice way to spend some time in the Montana backcountry. Despite the bumper sticker that says backcountry bloggers are still hung in Montana, I am writing about this.
My retaliation to the placers and producers of that bumper sticker placers is this: I already am hung. Take that. More important than my eighth grade reply is that public land is for everyone to enjoy. Don't feel so entitled. It was all stolen from folks who used to care for the land and still would if you didn't put fences up.
