Dad wanted to climb Mt. Shasta so we went! Jake, Dad and I
figured out the logistics and we got together in late June. Highlights include:
Camping in Dad’s new trailer, getting to 13,000 feet together and summiting
alone, glissading 3000 feet down in 30 minutes, Type 2 fun (when it is fun to
talk about it now, but at the time it was a grueling slog), a kind lead guide,
family bonding time, safe return home- not-so-bad soreness!
Dave's blog about experiences in nature, transforming the 1927 farmhouse, and our gardens!

Alan & Kylee's Wedding, Glacier National Park
Been meaning to post this for a long time. We had a blast in Montana for Alan and Kylee's Wedding (April 2016). They rented two big lodges, some trolley's, and a ranch for the ceremony... and they asked me to officiate. What an honor :) Great to see long-lost friends too. Michelle and I also had the opportunity to spend half of a day in Glacier National Park.
From Springtime
Sooo busy!
We spent a 4-day Passover celebration in New Jersey with
relatives on mom’s side. First time ever we were all in the same place at the
same time I think. A jaunt to the big city- NYC!
Regular Tuesday morning hiking with my buddy Serge. On his birthday we went for a hike and he caught a fish in Fragrance Lake… I think it turned into his lunch also :)
Michelle and I spent a weekend with Jake in San Francisco over Memorial Day Weekend.
Wayne came to our place for a spring visit!
The cherry tree we planted last year, in memory of Grandma Lily, produced a bowlful of fruit for us. Thanks Grandma!
The after-school program I direct won a community award. We
had a crazy and wild programming year that ended with this accolade.
What kept me on the move this spring?
Passover
Seder- we hosted an early one in Bellingham because we were going to be gone
for the real holidayRegular Tuesday morning hiking with my buddy Serge. On his birthday we went for a hike and he caught a fish in Fragrance Lake… I think it turned into his lunch also :)

Front porch- done! (since March actually :) )
Wow. Five months without posting. That is a record long. I
have been meaning to write and post pictures but it has been a whirlwind. Since
April, school and work and summer mania took over. I miss that summer is over
(truly in Bellingham it is no longer summer- rain and cold) but need the fall
weather to slow me down so I can reflect.
